English Language Programs: The University of California, Riverside, International Education Programs offers a wide variety of short-term and long-term English language programs. Students can choose from three weeks to over one year of English language study with opportunities to transfer to academic and professional programs. The English language programs are designed for all levels of English speakers, from beginner to advanced, who want to improve their English and expand their educational opportunities or professional experience.

Academic & Professional Programs: International Education Programs at University of California – Riverside offers a range of academic, professional and postgraduate programs that have flexible admission requirements and allow students to earn a highly valued University of California certificate or diploma without having to meet the strict admission requirements for undergraduate and graduate study.
The Academic-Year Certificate Programs (AYCB) are designed for high school graduates and business professionals with Advanced-level English. Our nine-month long, full-time programs are designed to provide you with the core skills and knowledge needed to work in a range of professional fields. The Academic-Year Certificate Programs can help you develop the critical skills and specialized knowledge needed to meet anticipated future needs in many kinds of careers. You can also get practical work experience and develop a professional network of American and international colleagues. Students who successfully complete an Academic-Year Certificate Program are eligible for Optional Practical Training (OPT) and may apply for permission to obtain paid work for up to 12 months in their field of study.

The Postgraduate Certificate in Management (PGCM) and Diplomas in Management (PGDM) and Hospitality (PGDHM) offer comprehensive postgraduate-level study for students with Advanced-level English and prepare them to work anywhere in the world. The diploma program include a required internship as part of the program as well as the opportunity for one year of optional practical training in the United States. Students studying in this programs have the opportunity to network with professionals from around the world and are provided maximum exposure to American business practices. Courses are taught by faculty and business professionals, giving real-world business practices and insight into the most current global business practices.

Students who attend programs at the University of California, Riverside IEP program have three housing options, each of which cater to the individual's personality, needs and budget: The International Residence Center (IRC), the International Village (IV), and he American Family Homestay program.
